Intro to Art Therapy
About the Event
Are you interested in learning how to self-reflect through art? We invite you to join us in creating expressive art. Warm-ups are facilitated to help transition you into creating a sacred space for art making. You'll be offered up to 45 minutes of independent studio time. Processing prompts will be offered and you'll have access to group and individual support if needed.
This workshop is open to everyone 18+, no art experience is necessary!
Create Art & Wellness: Drop-In Expressive Art Virtual Studio is a virtual studio that creates a safe space where individuals can gather to create. With you, we aim to co-create a welcoming environment that values introspection and healing. We urge you to take this time for yourself, where you can turn your focus inward through the medium of art. We encourage you to use any materials that excite you. This studio will be hosted by Emily Natale, holistic art therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Emily will be assisted by Emily Faith Holtzman, intern at Create Art & Wellness and painting student at Rhode Island School of Design. Although we hope this experience promotes healing inside of you, this is not a substitute for counseling, diagnosis, and treatment.
