How Unmute Works
1. Create a profile & sign up to join an onboarding cohort nearest you
We onboard and train new cohorts of clinicians each month, sign up and you'll receive our training calendar dates to choose from
2. Complete your training and receive continuing education credits
Complete your initial onboarding (10 hours total) by participating in Unmute's Multicultural Institute, which is guided by the empirical literature on best practices in culturally-informed engagement, clinical assessment, and treatment
3. Receive referrals and begin seeing patients
Begin seeing clients and co-creating treatment plans that are not only effective, but also culturally affirming, ensuring that their unique background and values are honored throughout their therapy journey
If you are a clinician with demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and interested in being part of a collaborative community of clinicians dedicated to improving BIPOC mental health care, we'd love to hear from you!
Unmute has matched hundreds of clients to the right therapist to date; 92% of Unmute clients continue to see their matched therapist after their 3rd session!
